Hype; some bands are ignited and burnt by it simultaneously, some artist create it for themselves with a constant output of creativity which comes to fruition through a collective awakening, Oddisee exemplifies the later. Is there a more stagnant niche of music than hip-hop? I can't even begin to fathom what the exact number might be of emails I choose not to open from the term "club-bangers" in the heading.
