
Why don't we have more shows at museums? In 2009, The Gaslamp Killer dropped heavy bass at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. There was Rick Ross on the speakers and wine and cheese and a model elephant. The DJ shook like a wet dog. There's something raunchy about DJs in museums. Perhaps it stems from our innate desire to subvert the institution, or to place music on a worthy pedestal. Or maybe the model elephants. Whatever the case, New Yorkers should be getting excited.
