The geni's behind WhoSampled , a web page dedicated to rooting out those hard to pick samples have finally released an iphone app. Differing from the searchable online database of over a 1000 years of music, the app scans all the tunes loaded onto to your phone and displays where the sample came from for your originals, remixes and covers! Surprised to hear that Justice's "Phantom Pt II" heavily samples Simonetti-Pignatelli-Morante's horror flick composed "Tenebrae"? Not anymore.
