
Slaughterhouse is Ty Segall’s first album with his touring band, and first for LA’s killer In The Red Records, and it’s garage scuzz genius in excelsis. The no frills recording wipes the floor with much of Segall’s already whacked out discography. Death opens up with a minute of howling amp sludge. Emily Rose Epstein’s drums start tapping, Segall sets up a droning vocal, then with a howl of feedback we’re off, charging away on Mikal Cronin’s one-note bassline.
