This self-released EP from Glasgow band Holy Esque is available as a download or limited tour CD and bears further listening. It’s grand statement indie-rock, full of epic riffing, quaking bass and stadium size-drumming (not surprisingly, producer Kevin Burleigh has worked with Glasvegas and Simple Minds). But the music, though loud and brash, has some naggingly addictive elements too, like a poppier Manics.
