Universal  has compiled a huge volume of  the Kinks ' BBC archives. Available as a 2xCD best-of set or a five CD plus DVD box,  The Kinks at the BBC   features sessions, live recordings, and unreleased material from throughout the band's career.  The set is out August 13. According to a press release, " The Kinks at the BBC  has been assembled by trawling the BBC archives, but also by inviting contributions from fans who helped dust off rogue broadcasts which may have fallen by the wayside."
