Odd Future ’s controversy magnets Tyler, The Creator and Domo Genesis premiered “Sam Is Dead,” a Vietnam War-inspired video (sorry, “short film”) for the track from OF Tape Vol. 2 . The video displays the best features of Tyler and the Odd Future crew: darkly surreal visuals, sluggish beats, Tyler’s strangely intriguing bass voice and an over-the-top bravado that only comes with being 20 years old.
