Confess , the brand-new sophomore album from New York's Twin Shadow, straddles some imaginary line between twee, romantic new wave and dark, pulsing late-'80s R&B - like what happened if the peak-era incarnations of Morrissey and Bobby Brown attempted to record a synthpop album together, for some reason.
