Last fall, former Joy Division / New Order bassist Peter Hook told Consequence of Sound that he was writing a Joy Division memoir, recounting his days with the tragic, short-lived Manchester outfit. "I’m sick of everyone reading books about Joy Division by people who weren’t there and weren’t even close to us at all," he explained.
