Steve Poindexter is a man steeped in music. From his early DJ days in the 702s playing at high school gyms through the 802s and the birth of house music in Chicago, he has never been far from the point if the arrow. He started producing in the mid 802s and then after forming Muzique Records finally released his first EP in 1989. Contained within that seminal release is the acid monster "Born To Freak", an exocet missile of 303 and 808 which was a forerunner of many a rave tune to come. [...]
