Though it's easy to dismiss the first bit of Bat for Lashes' song "Laura" as being a bit too reminiscent of Ani DiFranco or Tori Amos (and I'd argue that if you select the right album, that's not an insult, either), it's an effective ballad, and the video is haunting. The chorus, "Laura / You're more than a superstar" has also apparently caught on in the festival circuit in Europe.
