It would be easy to confuse 21-year-old instrumentalist Corin Roddick with a much more experienced producer. According to the label 4AD, Roddick began experimenting with hip-hop and R&B beats during a six month tour in 2009 or 2010, and shortly thereafter got Gobble Gobble band mate Megan James to lay down vocals for what would become the song "Ungirthed," released in January of 2011 under the moniker Purity Ring.
