I'm starting to get pumped about this new Cat Power record. I'm a long time fan of the songwriter, yet the first single "Ruin" from Chan Marshall's new album may be one of my favorite tracks from her already impressive career. Today we get a second taste of Sun , her first album of original material since 20062s The Greatest, and it sure is delicious. The new jam "Cherokee" is underlined by a beautiful piano-led melody and steady locomotive percussion. It's another powerful tune.
