
Opossom is the project of Kody Neilson after eight years fronting the Mint Chicks (his brother Ruban went on from there to form the Unknown Mortal Orchestra) and is largely a solo work, although there are contributions from fellow Kiwi Bic Runga and his dad Chris Neilson. And the result is a neat concoction of catchy psychedelic pop, combining modern electronic beats with 60s riffs, plus a little of his own Polynesian heritage.
