Japandroids “The House That Heaven Built” (dir. Jim Larson)
Normally I'd skip the on-the-road / documentary-style music video, since its been done so many times (perhaps most famously by Bon Jovi) . But I thought this video for Vancouver punk-rock duo, Japandroids does a particularly great job of capturing the energy and excitement of the the up-and-coming band's shows. Beautifully shot in black-and-white by director Jim Larson, the video alternates between the band's chaotic live performances and some equally wild off-stage shenanigans (including target practice with molotov cocktails). If you weren't a Japandroids fan before this video, I can only assume you'll be one afterwards.
