Several live takes of Frightened Rabbit's "State Hospital" have surfaced in 2012, but we've finally got out first listen to the studio version of the song, the title track from the Scottish band's forthcoming EP. It's a sweeping, cinematic anthem, more "Living In Colour" than "The Modern Leper." I'd be happy with either of those approaches, honestly. The EP will be released 9/24 via Atlantic, preceding a North American tour kicking off in October and a new studio album coming in 2013. Till then, this will have to suffice.
