Mount Eerie – “Ocean Roar”
After two tracks of creepy, black-metal-derived ambient weirdness - " Pale Lights " and " The Place Lives " - I kind of expected all of Mount Eerie's sure-to-rule Ocean Roar to fit that template. But the title track has thrown that theory out the window. "Ocean Roar" sounds like lo-fi My Bloody Valentine, with Phil Elverum backed by a ghostly choir of female vocals.
