When I saw an email The xx had performed Angels "live in Tokyo" I feared it was going to be at some overcrowded festival - but oh boy, how terribly wrong was I. Romy performed Angels in a hotel room (33rd floor, to be exact), Jamie and Oliver absent. This is The xx in its most purest form and probably the way most people prefer listening to it: completely on their own and in the dark.
