This morning, Bat For Lashes shared the follow-up to "Laura,"  a moving piano ballad released as the first single off Natasha Khan's The Haunted Man LP, as a free download and stream. To these ears, "Marilyn" draws on the Cocteau Twins side of the many '80s influences Khan wears on her sleeve, complete with a big, shimmering hook in the chorus and plate reverb-drenched retro drum machine samples. Somewhat familiar to her earlier output, but another promising taste of what's shaping up to be an excellent third record no less. Give it a spin above.
