O último trabalho do Daft Punk foi a trilha sonora do filme Tron: Legacy [...]

Last night Chicago-based sextet Umphrey's McGee kicked off their first full tour of 2012 with not one but two performances. In addition to a full two-set show at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the band also played a show billed as "All Night Wrong" at the nearby, and tiny, 7th Street Entry. [via @JeffersonWaful ] Fans attending the All Night Wrong performance were given ballots in advance and told to pick six covers from a lengthy list. Here's the covers from Umphrey's vast repertoire that made the cut... [...]

We've got another new artist for you all to watch in 2012. Duo Synchron are an electro-house two-piece from Hamburg, Germany who have already had a joint EP release on OMGITM! alongside Dirty Disco Youth (after remixing his track 'Love') and their latest work, the 'Closer' EP has just hit the digital stores (purchase it from Beatport NOW). This month marks the 10th anniversary of Fluxblog. I will be doing a few things to celebrate the occasion over the course of the year, but the main thing is that I will be putting together survey mixes for each year the site has existed. The mixes will be released on the first weekday of each month this year, culminating in revised/expanded versions of the 2010 and 2011 mixes and this year's survey at the start of December. 2002 was an interesting year, with a lot of major stuff bubbling up as the identity of the decade [...]
Bustle In Your Hedgerow @ Brooklyn Bowl - January 27 Words : Samara Lentz Photos : Mitch Manzella Blue lights flood the stage to start the show. Marco Benevento begins hammering the melodic prelude to "No Quarter." With a few more chords melting into recognition, the informed members of the crowd let out a "whoooo!" of approval. And then, an explosion of sound in perfect syncopation—it was Led Zeppelin like I have never heard it before. [All Photos by Mitch Manzella] [...]

Imagine a place where you can wake up in the Bahamas and find yourself on a private beach listening to Dave Nada playing moombahton or running into Brodinski as you leave the Fools gold rap party to grab some soft serve ice cream before you go see Zedd. A place where one can win the Steve Aoki poker tournament then set up shop at the breakfast buffet at 6 am and play electro for 4 hours. A place where controllerism and tableism can co-exist as A-Trak scratches over Skrillex. A place where music fans and artists alike eagerly await the [...]
My Top 10 Pre-Punk Albums Number 10 The Who – Who Are You This album came out in 1978; I think I got it at that time. Pete Townshend said He wrote this album to bridge the gap between progressive rock and punk. The song I continually played was 905, a song written and sang by bassist John Entwistle. It was about a man who was cloned in a lab, and struggling with not having his own life. I [...]

Sanders Bohlke's plaintive, soul-bearing ballad "Search and Destroy" gets an awesome electro makeover by NY DJ Ruda Krishna. Sometimes the most wrenching types of melodies can be turned flipped into some of the best electronic music ("Levels", Moby's Play era, etc.) and Mr. Krishna's mix is a very strong example. Sanders Bohlke - Search and Destroy (Ruda Krishna Remix) Ruda Krishna ( Facebook ) Rating 8.2
Do you remember when there was that one song that every DJ played this year? I'm sure some of you (really 80-85% of you) are going to think, "Yeah that was Levels by Avicii!" but I'm talking about the track that came right before Levels. Maybe some of you got it now; I'm thinking of the versatile banger, The End by the one and only Tommy Trash. Now, some people think that Tommy Trash overuses that synth that he created for The End .You may be right, but the reality is is that even if [...]

UK bred The Good Natured were coming through the homemade studio - literally in the living room and kitchen of a gorgeous condo. A little over a dozen people, including the crew, band, management and friends, were in attendance to help create the magic that goes behind these beautiful and artistic sessions. The founders Chris Litten and Menaka [...]
