Here's the weird thing about the British: In general, they have much better taste in music than Americans. While we waste our time on interchangeable pop stars, they're singing the praises of Gossip's Beth Ditto. In addition to looking Mexican, I apparently now look like a hooker. Filed under: News , Holy Hell Pete Doherty was rushed to the hospital Monday night forcing the cancellation of three gigs in Ireland this week. The often-troubled Babyshambles frontman was having trouble breathing and is currently being treated for fatigue. "Last night [Oct. 12] Peter Doherty was admitted to Swindon Hospital with exhaustion and breathing difficulties," a representative for Doherty announced Tuesday . "He is currently under observation by doctors."
The troubled life of former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty continues to cause headlines, with the singer now hospitalized immediately prior to an Irish tour. Doherty was set to play a set of dates in Ireland beginning tonight (Oct. 13), but those have now been canceled. The singer was hospitalized with breathing problems, although it's not yet known what caused the difficulties. Doherty's agent has issued a brief statement about the incident, which reads as follows: "Last night Peter Doherty was admitted to Swindon Hospital with exhaustion and breathing difficulties.
