It would be nice to think that the garlanding of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss's Raising Sand was an attempt by the US recording industry to try and head off any thoughts of a Led Zep resuurection. But it's even nicer to think that a bloody good record has been given prizes. If it was just Alison Krauss, though, would it have picked up so many prizes? Great news for Joe Satriani, as his song picked up Song Of The Year. Oh, or Coldplay's song. We'll see what the judge says on that one. [...]

It's always a pleasure to bring you something from one of the Arcadian Family so I was pleased to see this morning that Heads We Dance (one of the first bands ISoA really "got behind" as far as enthusiastically supporting) had send their cover of Kraftwerks "Computer Love" over along with artwork for you guys! I had seen it on the Buffet Libre Djs new Rewind 2 mix but I wasn't gonna grab a track off it without permission, so needless to say I'm stoked I can officially post [...]
Sure these list are all over but I thought we would do one in our style. Here some music and just random Top 10 lists of things from 2008 from TRM friends and Family. A few album lists: Both Mike and I (Nathan) had a great year releasing our 3 of our favorite records from 2008. We felt like all of our bands worked extremely hard and made fantastic records. So for both of us our list have the same number one. 1. State Bird - Mostly Ghostly & 4 New Songs/ [...]

I admit I like Buffetlibre ... since I first discovered them on the intercube, I dig their large vision in the dance music scene. But as much as this is about them, this isn't really all about them at all... It's about that little part of your innards that wants to wear parachute pants and a rat tail to the roller rink where you will have your heart broken for the first time, and possibly second, third, and fourth too... yep. This is all about the 80's. Rewind is a Buffetlibre project that is nothing less than [...]
The Buffet Libre DJs have completed their second REWIND project. You may remember we shared the first one with you last July . This time around they focused on covers of songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s and feature an even more impressive lineup of bands... Starfucker, CFCF, The Botticellis, Little Boots, Nightwaves, Codebreaker, Robbers On High Street, Au Revoir Simone, Bonde Do Role, Headlights, The Glass, The Ruby Suns and almost 80 other bands and DJs are covering loads of classics and rarities. [...]

OH MY GOD, Buffet Libre has unleashed the 2nd part of their Rewind project & it is insane! 89 remixes & covers by kick ass artists like Lazrtag, Little Boots, Division Kent, Heads We Dance, Cruel Black Dove, Love Motel & AC Slater to name a few (entire list below)! The cool thing is that you can download every single track (or "travels" how the crew calls them) for free on their website . Here are some of my favorite picks... a cover to "Computer Love" from Kraftwerk by the groundbreaking british trio Heads [...]

The Buffetlibre crew is back with the celebration of all things retro that is 'Rewind'. Here's a version of the big Salt N Pepa hit from Camden's Man Like Me . mp3: man like me - lets talk about sex (salt n pepa cover). Tracklist after the jump 01 Au Revoir Simone [...]

It seems like only a few months ago when Marc and the boys at Buffet Libre finalized the first edition of this, a compilation that cherry picked your favorite 80s cuts and pitted some of the hottest acts (or up-and-comers) to cover them. Well, now, in the dawn of a new year, comes the release of the sophomore edition, Rewind 2 . And this time, the plot is thickened. Now, we get an expanded time period (70s, 80s and 90s) and even more tunes to choose from. And it's all still free to download. The tracklist has [...]
