De eerst festivaldag had op het programma: Mira Calix set against strings, Kok & Deiman, Ryoichi Kurokawa, William Basinski, It's A Musical, Sin Fang Bous, Borko en Humanworkshop. Normalmente per la versione estiva dell'agenda dei concerti inkiostro-approved di Bologna e dintorni aspettavo fine Maggio, quando i club invernali sono chiusi e i giochi per i festival estivi sono già fatti. Mira Calix Nederland heeft veel mooie festivals waar grote namen uit de electronische muziekscene en andere kunstvormen samen komen. Ik noem bijvoorbeeld TodaysArt, STRP, State-X of Motel Mozaique. Het Dordtse festival Urban Explorers levert ook al drie edities lang mooie namen en nieuwe ontdekkingen. Festivals in grotere steden als Den Haag of Eindhoven hebben hoge budgetten waarmee ze bijna het complete canon van de IDM kunnen programmeren. Iceland is can´t compare with Sweden maybe when it comes to pop talent, but they sure try. It´s a tiny country and pop-wise the music that comes out of there is maybe more of the alternative kind like Björk and Sigur Ros (with the exception of Steed Lord ). Borko is one of those off the wall musicians that gain fans one by one, either from an incendiary gig or from an excited fan telling their best friends. Das Borko/Seabear-Konzert am Montag im El Lokal war herzerwärmend. Horse Feathers dürfte allen gefallen, die applaudiert haben. Sollte González einmal ein Stimmdouble benötigen, Justin Ringle wäre der Mann dafür. Ringle begann 2004 in Portland an Openmic-Veranstaltungen unter dem Pseudonym Horse Feathers aufzutreten, hat inzwischen eine kleine Band um sich geschart und unlängst auf Kill All Rockstars sein zweites Album "House Without A Home" veröffentlicht. Hljómsveitin Rúnk fór ekkert sérstaklega hátt hér árið 2002 þegar hún gaf út sína fyrstu og einu plötu, Ghengi Dahls. Þó virðast tónlistarspekúlantar sammála um að platan sé ein af gersemum íslenskrar tónlistar, og það má að sönnu segja að hún eigi sér ekki sinn líka. Helst dettur mér í hug samlíkingar við plötu Andhéra frá 1997 er bar heitið Fallegir Ósigrar. Rúnk varð ekki langlíf, en meðlimir sveitarinnar hafa allir haldið áfram tónlistarsköpun og ættu vera flestum að góðu kunnir.
