Off to yet another wedding this year, my last one in a long series. My advice to those planning theirs for 2010: 1. The bar opens before the ceremony, beer & wine-only would do just fine. 2. Limit speeches to three minutes for family, 1 minute for friends. 3. Photographers get 35 minutes to take all of the shots they need. White Rainbow's Adam Forkner is a jack of all trades. He's dabbled in hyphy-glitch, ambient tweak gaze and spacial ecstasy. He's worked with Dirty Projectors, Atlas Sound, Yume Bitsu, Yacht, Devendra Banhart and is a regular component of Portland weirdo troupe Rob Walmart. Given his curriculum vitae, one might expect Forkner to take "Eye on the Dollar" to outer space, or possibly, due to his recent obsession with hyphy, to the club with a chopped-and-screwed remix as suitable for the syzurp crowd as it would be for DMT dosers worldwide. We have a sneak peak of the vinyl-only release with the White Rainbow mix of "Eye on the Dollar" above, but there will also be remixes from Cornershop's Anthony Saffery, These Are Powers' Brenmar, and Black Mountains' Steve McBean. This should tide fans over until Citay's next full-length LP in 2010.

It's appropriate that Citay commissioned White Rainbow for their Remixes album given their similar penchant for the psychedelic. White Rainbow's spin on "Eye on the Dollar" tightens the vocals into chipmunk hybrids while drenching it all in reverb to push the song into a fervor. Remixes will feature songs from Citay's 2007 album Little Kingdom, and it is out on Dead Oceans Nov. 3.
