I haven't really touched on Theophilus London on the blog, mostly because I'm not completely sold on the guy yet. However, this track is pretty damn great. Theophilus added some verses onto The xx's exquisite, dubstep remix of Jack Penate's "Pull My Heart Away," and it works great. The remix has been one of my favorites of 2009, but Theophilus London's presence on the track is empowering and an asset to the overall experience. Electro-rap is so early 2k9. Last weekend and Dublin, more than ever, is awash with skinny jeaned young men sporting Dalston crops and a burning desire to be discovered (worn as utter nonchalance of course) at the HWCH festival. Tucked away upstairs in The Village though, a whole different kind of crowd is waiting to see Jack Penate . The front three or four rows are tightly packed with screaming and excitable teenage girls and a smattering of adoring fanboys sporting their own Penate imitation hairdos and shirts.
