Ok so I heard about the Sweetheart: Our Favorite Artists Sing Their Favorite Love Songs project a while back and wasn't too worked up about another covers album. Then I heard the Jem's cover of Yellow and quickly changed my mind. Given how overplayed the original was I didn't think it was possible to hear the song in a new light but cudos to Jem for making that possible. CMJ released the band schedule for its 2009 Music Marathon & Film Festival yesterday, which is about as good a sign of fall hitting New York as the return of apple cider at Greenmarket.
