Tim promised a surprise on the contrast podcast this week and he certainly delivered! It's part one of the third annual CD Swap extravaganza. I'm listening to it as I write this and it's pretty awesome. I love being a part of the contrast nation and the CD Swap makes me feel even closer to everyone who participates. Check it out here . The way it works is that each person is assigned someone to make a mixtape for and also [...]
Festival season here in the Puget Sound is kicking into high gear (pedal to the metal, dudes), with all sorts of recent announcements being broadcast over the ether and internets (see: Capitol Hill Block Party , Doe Bay Fest , Decibel Festival , West Seattle Summerfest , Georgetown Musicfest aka Artopia , others I'm forgetting). The idea of vinyl with digital downloads is great thing that solves the problem my wife has of wanting to take the new Pleasureboaters on her elipticals at the gym, while I just want to sit in my favorite chair with a glass of scotch and [...]
