This is an ever changing and (hopefully) expanding list of some of the songs I have mentioned before in this blog or simply stuff I have found somewhere on the web that I find interesting, but have no time to write about. All files have been found somewhere in cyberspace (and NONE of them have uploaded by me, so I cannot help you with any requests you might have - just keep returning and something new might pop up), so they will be available until the artists, record labels, fans, whatever decide to remove them. Thanks to a few readers, [...]

Down in the District DC9 has The Royalties and Professor Pez while George Washington University has an amazing show with The Magnetic Fields and Shugo Tokumaru. Little Brother is also performing in DC at the Black Cat , and the unclassifiable Deerhoof plays the 9:30 Club with Experimental Dental School [...]

With everyone going to or coming from CMJ in New York, the IA region has a ton of shows coming through the area. Not many multiple city stops to tell you about, but plenty of local and one-off shows. Toronto's Born Ruffians is one of the bands making multiple stops. They are on tour with fellow Canadians Plants & Animals . Friday, they take on DC at the Rock & Roll Hotel. For the remainder of the weekend, sBach joins the [...]

It's that time of year again, when bands both big and small converge upon New York City for a debaucherous , music-filled five days...that's right we're talking about the 2008 CMJ Music Marathon. Spanning Oct. 21 to Oct. 25, there's just too much to see. We'll do our best...this isn't our full time job. Come on! (in Gob voice.) Stark has enjoyed watching certain acts from all over the nation strive for immediate, Black Kids-like fame. Alas, they're not all that lucky. From Nashville to Chicago to NYC, Stark has highlighted [...]

Iceland Airwaves er svona eins of fyrsti snjórinn, læðist að manni og skellur á öllum að óvörum þótt allir viti hann sé á leiðinni. Og ég stend hérna á sumardekkjunum og veit ekkert hvað ég ætla að sjá, eða hvernig maður ætti að plögga sínu eigin bandi sem best. Á maður ekki að sitja bara og þamba kaffi á einhverjum pöbbnum og vonast maður rekist á virtan blaðamann frá útlöndum? Híma fyrir utan Media Centerið í Skífunni? Á maður að gefa alla diskana sem eftir eru? Seinustu ár hafa farið 60 diskar í einhverja blaðamenn sem hvort [...]

Discovered a cute blog today: Hey Hey Honeypop! The best part is that there are podcasts to go with! Here's a link to #6: Dance Around The Livingroom . The playlist is full of new stuff (for me, and I love it!): The Blue Minkies - Boyfriend in a box Sportique - If you ever change your mind The Andersen Tapes - Cross Country How Many Beans Make Five - I could well believe that Professor Pez - Papillon (Escape from Ulfsnes island) Go Sailor - Windy The Budgies - I love [...]

I just got recommended this band from the rainy town of Bergen on the west coast of Norway. Professor Pez gives you cheerful and upbeat indiepop with catchy riffs and vocals. I especially like the song "Papillon". Enjoy!! Professor Pez
