Sylvester's Over and Over is by far one of my favorite classic dance tunes. Asperse is the pseudonym of Stanley Minnick III and "Grief, Five Phases" is a concept album he has put together dealing with the disintegration of love and family. The five phases Minnick alludes to are the stages one goes through according to the Kubler-Ross theory of loss. They include Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and finally Acceptance--all of which are represented in order on "Grief, Five Phases." Jim Cushinery, Marty Ross, and Bobby Tews have finally arrived. The story of The Wigs is a bit of an west coast legend. Formed in Milwaukee and after building a local fanbase in 1982, they piqued the interest of CBS Records and recorded a shining gem of an album, but ended up with infamous manager Stanley Polley (Badfinger fans take note).
