Last night, Deer Tick launched a North American tour with a show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Continuing on, the tour includes dates with Jason Isbell, Phosphorescent, Marissa Nadler and other folk. A documentary film about the band, titled To The City of Sin! has been made with Cory W. Deer Tick is John McCauley III, a New York singer/songwriter who wrote and recorded his debut album, War Elephant, entirely by himself at the age of 20. An impressive feat considering the quality of the folk-rock music contained therein.
