What's the best concert you've ever been to? For some of us it was the experience of enjoying a concert with a group of close friends. For others, it was catching your favorite bands before they hit it big or finally being able to see your music idol up close and personal. Today's Top 5 is a collaborative one. We've polled some our writers and compiled an unranked list of some of our greatest concert memories. Follow the jump for our picks, and be sure and let us know about your best concert ever when you're done. [...]

Once again, I'm on a quest to find out what's behind a band's name. I asked Matt Parish about the origins of the unusual band-name "Ho-Ag" and I got a history of the Space Program, which makes me love the name Ho-Ag all the much more. Matt of Ho-Ag : "The real reason we went with Ho-Ag is a bit of a tangled yarn and the beginning came unraveled a long time ago. The good thing about keeping it around still is that no [...]

Malajube 's [ Myspace ] third full-length record, Labyrinthes , scatters pop hooks over prog tendencies, pulling off a trippy yet inoffensive album that delivers on nearly every track. Dismiss your xenoglossophobia, Labyrinthes is an incredibly enjoyable record, even if you don't know just what it is they're singing about. Malajube let the reigns out for the opener, "Ursuline". It is the album's thesis, a four movement mini-opera spanning the pop, rock, and dance elements that follow throughout the rest of the record. Acknowledging your body [...]

That first record, Shine Honesty , received a mostly positive response from critics which lead to new members and a brand new band. Fast forward to 2009 which sees Quiet Company dropping their sophomore effort Everyone You [...]
