Sufjan Stevens has apparently but the brakes on his ambitious (and kind of dumb, when you get down to it) 50 states project, instead promising that he'll be putting out a "song-based" LP in 2010. "I'm trying to dissuade any kind of conceptual framework and just write music, love songs, pop songs, and just forget all that conceptual mess..." So, like Seven Swans?
