After years of backing Canada's indie-elite, folk rocker Alfie Jurvanen took his Robbie Robertson -esque step out of the shadows last summer (Jurvanen went with live mics mind you). The new Jamie Lidell LP goes by the name of 'Compass' and in case you were wondering, it's sounding pretty gosh darn awesome as far as we're concerned. Due on March 18th through the Warp label, the record features some of the best guest-spots we've seen in sometime including Feist, Beck and his keyboardist Brian LeBarton, Pat Sansone of Wilco, three-quarters of Grizzly Bear (all but Ed Droste), songwriter Gonzales and a few more to boot.
Jamie Lidell returns this year with his new album 'Compass', out on May 18th via Warp.
