It's going to be my album of the year, at least based on its placing in my top 5 of all albums released this decade, but I still didn't know for certain every lyric to every song on the album, which was mildly annoying. Sunset Rubdown hadn't included a lyric sheet with the album's release and although I'd waded through the threads on the Wolf Parade forums and on songmeanings.net at various times this year, there were enough discrepancies to throw me off on more than one lyric in more than one [...]

There's a hypestorm brewing over this one, but don't run from it: Teen Dream is sensational. Last year we saw Beach House write a song on a train ride through some Norwegian mountains for a local TV station. Once again, the people behind the Spoon Train Audio -label have made a compilation of independent pop from Oslo. The true test of a pop artist destined for longevity is shown through their follow up release to such a successful debut. LADY GAGA departs from her obsession with fame and fortune and moves on to the darker side of slick produced pop/dance music on The Fame Monster . The Kris Orlowski Band played The Spar in Tacoma's historic north end on Saturday, October 17th, and as the only band on the bill, they played for an impressive 2½ hours. The set opened with selections from their first CD, " Architects ". Orlowski was capably backed by bassist Jason Stiles and drummer Tim Rummerfield. Orlowski's voice has the same qualities as Train lead singer Pat Monahan or John Mayer, and is well suited to the wide variety of song styles the band demonstrated. For Terre Thaemlitz, audio is never "innocent." According to a recent tweet , Mix Master Mike has just completed work on a new album, titled Napalm Rockets . We assume that it is the mix CD that he talked about in an interview with the Las Vegas Sun earlier this fall. He also has a new EP titled Plasma Rifle coming out soon.
