Way back when I had the red and black lumberjack, with the hat to match , I posted about Jai Paul and the sublime music he had posted on his MySpace page. Well now that's all gone and has been replaced with a short message from him and two flashing images that follow it; Air Force, and XL Recordings.  Yup, looks like the dude got signed, which isn't surprising since I didn't hear a single bad thing said about the guy. He labels himself on his MySpace page as "Pop/Hip-Hop/Indie", but Jai Paul is so much more than that.  That only touches the surface of his sound which is one of the most exciting things I've heard in a long time. Hailing from Rayners Lane in London he currently only has demos, most of them short, but they show a potential in music progression that may only be matched (in the mainstream) by M.I.A., Animal Collective, and dare I say Radiohead. What he's showcasing here is his ability to blend music from eras of old with genres of new. [...]
