Choosing not to disclose the original artist behind these tracks, instead shining the spotlight on those chosen to remix. Long awaited, and much anticipated. The debut release for Belgian wünderkind, Locked Groove , is an immense concoction of genre bending dancefloor heat. As you would expect from HotFlush, the record incorporates the intensity of techno, soulful house sounds and vocals and the off kilter UK drums. The Norwegian producer is going from strength to strength with his latest original record just being released to expected acclaim from DJ's and critics alike. News just in from Young Turks, SBTRKT will be releasing one of my favourite cuts from the album as a 12" early in 2012. In all fairness, this is the first time I'd hear the name Burek. A record label started by Croatian producer, Pytzek. Though relatively young, the label has already garnered support from respectable names due to their debut release from 909/808 maestro, KiNK. Since then, Burek has clocked up another two releases, from Humandrone and Madcap respectively. The Japanese acid producer, Humandrone, has put forward an excellent sophomore for the label. Here is a classy LP any house head, will need to get their hands on. Unlike a lot of artist albums that disappoint upon the first listen, D'Marc Cantu has stuck to his jacking instincts and produced an absolute dancefloor necessity. After successful releases this year with his 2AMFM Saturn V & X2 aliases, it's a wonder D'Marc found time to piece together such a solid debut.
