Recent analytics show a big increase in new followers this year so for those who weren't reading me in the 012 then you woulda missed out on plenty a posts on the 2:54 . I ain't a fan of posting branded content, alas no adverts on my blog, but these sister's haunting performance of SUGAR (via the latest Burberry session) is a must-taste and serves as a rather fine intro to the owner's of my fave album of last year !

There have been a few underrated bands releasing albums this year, but perhaps none have been more underrated than London's 2:54 . Their expansive, melodic insight to the strain of Indie-Rock Shoegaze in which they inhabit, can no longer be ignored. People take notice, you're missing out! I'll give you one last chance (even though I've given you several with "Creeping" , "Scarlet" , and "You're Early" ), though, since I'm a nice guy and all, so redeem [...]

I'm not really a fan of group sex but if I had to engaged in a fivesome then it would have to include all four members of the 2:54 . Not only do they make the most delish mp3s that have come in me ears this year, they also have extraordinary visuals to accompany. Check their latest, Georgia Hudson erected new video, SUGAR , which got the band all lush and clubbing for it. Band of the year. Album of the year. Etc. Etc.

If you're in Europe then today marks the release of 2:54 's debut self-titled album, whilst us guys in North America will have to wait another 24 hours before we can get our mitts on it. Today though to celebrate the release the band have dropped the ominously horse-frightening video for their new track "Creeping" which you can rest your eyes upon below. On a lovely sunny afternoon earlier this week I spent some time in a local pub in Stokey with the 2:54 . The 2:54 are London-based sisters who sonically sound like a combo of the QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and the MAZZY STAR, hanging with the XX whilst the WAR PAINT occasionally drop by, and with a the vocal delivery reminiscent to the SHIRLEY MANSON on the GARBAGE debut album.
