Taking the mood from their previous video, Scarlet and dosing it in a thick layer of fog and theatrics, director Jeppe Kolstrup has created a swirling mess that is a perfect backing to the song's tumbling urgency. May 28th will see the band release their full length debut on Fat Possum Records. The 10 song album was recorded mostly by Mercury-winning producer Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey) and mixed by the Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine In Nails). The band 2:54 are two sisters out of London who play shoegaze, drone, indie, garage rock to a whole new level. Their band name comes from a moment in a Melvins track ('A History Of Bad Men'). As much as I try to maintain healthy listening habits, I neglect to take in enough female-fronted brooding guitar rock like my doctor recommends. Good thing 2:54 are here to give me a kick in the ear. Oh deary me the best choon you'll ever hear has just surfaced ! It's been a while since I've got properbsessed with a new band. Last year I heard four mp3s from the 2:54 , now, mp3 number five, the YOU'RE EARLY , has emerged and a 'shaking and crying' insert is required.
