Someone to keep a close eye on for sure. We sense great things from this guy..

A couple of feelings from the 30242s new Dovercourt EP. - Follow 3024 Records: Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud

3024 label head Martyn is back with his first substantial release in a year. 'Newspeak' will be a three-track EP and is to be released on Dolly Dubs. 2012 was rather a quiet year for dubstep pioneer. His most recent album 'Ghost People' came out on Brainfeeder in 2011 and not a huge amount was heard from him since then. Well, now he's back with a new EP entitled 'Newspeak' for Dolly Dubs (helmed by Panorama Bar resident Steffi). Due out in late February, there's not a lot more [...]

The January sales have started and 3024 obviously like to get involved as they bring us the Dovercourt EP jam packed full of leftfield electronic beats. As can be common place now this four tracks spinner has four different artists to choose from all bringing a different flavour. The EP kicks off with the slow acid vibes of Nautiluss followed by a hypnotic number by Kevin McPhee . There are followed by tracks from Gingy and a digital only track from Bruce Trail that has a lo fi groove [...]

The brainchild of Martyn and Erosie, 3024 will be releasing a four-track compilation of techno-leaning house music. Featuring the likes of Kevin McPhee , Bruce Trail , Gingy and Nautiluss , 'Dovercourt' is a brisk journey through off-kilter house and techno. The description on Soundcloud astutely points out that being outside the house and techno epicentres of London and Berlin has enabled these producers to resist what's fashionable in favour of what excites them. It's exactly this ethos that has attracted such luminaries as Jacques Greene, Mosca [...]

Courtesy of one of Montreal's brightest young talents, here is a deep sexy progressive dance cut from Jacques Greene 's Ready EP via 3024. This one comes highly recommended– See Previously: Video: Jacques Greene | Ready Jacques Greene | Ready EP Wolfey [...]

Here is the new video for the title track from Greene 's latest- Ready EP , which was released on Monday via 3024 . Wolfey Tweet

In other areas of music it seems people are bending over backwards to invent new genres and sub-divide existing ones. This kind of electronic music, however, has fractured and evolved so frequently over the last couple of years that it makes trying to pigeonhole a trend, sound or track a futile exercise. Martyn's 3024 imprint is just as big a culprit as any in this cross pollination and combined with Jacques Greene's ever shifting productions we're quite happy to sweep any genre implications under the big rug that is 'house' and get on with enjoying The [...]
To be honest this wasn't a match we were expecting. When 3024 announced that Jacques Greene was on the next EP it was hugh indicator of how much the Montreal native has progressed over the last two years and gained respect from all corners of the electronic music world. Opening track "Ready" is full force 44 techno with some hints of the vocal magic the Greene is known for. Number two "Prism" has a slightly more spacey laid back feel, while still being moved along by house styles with shuffling [...]

Jacques Greene mentioned.

Something about Jacques Greene... Everything he makes sounds like it took ages to make, and took loads of hardware to make it on. Probably because it did??? I don't know... and I don't know if it's just me, but it sounds like he is really putting his all into his music. I think it shows in the way it all flows so nice and doesn't sound forced. Anyway, enough musing, here is his new EP on 3024. Jacques Greene - Ready EP ...

In joining the wildly impressive 3024 roster of Martyn, Julio Bashmore, Addison Groove, Mosca, Redshape, etc., Jacques Greene 's forthcoming Ready EP will be in good company. Get ready (no pun) for the July 16th vinyl release with some fresh previews. Jacques Greene - Ready Jacques Greene - Prism Jacques Greene - Dakou (digital only)
Canadian producer Jacques Greene next release is set to come via Martyn's 3024 imprint, and judging by this recent radio rip he has taken his predilection for wandering percussion and heart warming pads and snapped them more tightly to the traditional house formula. This is not to say that 'Prism' lacks Jacques Greene customary texture but rather he has taken those layers and streamlined them for a more straight up dancefloor sound.

Jon Convex returns once again with another solo outing away from Instra:Mental and for this three track monster he gets old pal dBridge involved on vocal duties. Opening track "Lied To Be Loved" is a dirty bass driven techy affair. "Zero" goes for a more 4/4 vibe with some funk thrown in, while "Stay" is all about the synths and the soul. This marks another quality release of the 3024 label which continues its policy of multi genre producers laying down the best quality tracks. Released on May [...]

Stuck on Repeat simply collects together a load of tracks over an un-specified amount of time that we consider essential listening. As always with these types of things there maybe certain tracks you’ve already heard, tracks we’ve missed or accidentally overlooked, so please feel free to hit up the comments with anything you think is indispensable. In no particular order.... Lorca - Cant See Higher - Dummy Records Helium Robots - Jarza (Original Mix) - Running Back French Fries - [...]

До момента, когда я услышал его сингл 'Throw In Dirt / The Land'. 1. Throw In Dirt 2.

Over the last few years we've seen a resurgence of the underground electronic music scene, new genres such as UK funky and dubstep have risen and now spiral towards a more commercial future. At the beginning artists like Martyn were laying down mixes that crossed genre borders of these new scenes while still keep home base firmly weighted towards a techno and house vibe. From such beginnings labels were started such as 3024 and Numbers that aimed to cater for those who like music from many different sources and styles. So after [...]
