Amanda Jo Williams and Tommy Santee Klaws covered each other's songs for this digital release by local psychedelic guitar master 5-Track's label Binary Stars . Light Bloomer is the best $3 you can spend today. Then spend $5 more on November 20th to see both these bands play at HM157 for the Rakes record release show . It's good that AJW and TSK have come together. Their initials look nice side by side, and both bands seem to reside on the same astral-extraterrestrial plane, though in different parts of cosmic town. They're making [...]
Amanda Jo Williams and Tommy Santee Klaws covered one of each other's songs. She took on "Late Bloomer" and he did "Light On." It's a fine way to spend $3, buying this little digital album released by guitarist 5-Track on his Binary Stars imprint.
It's like Elf Power with Jimi Hendrix riffs, something akin to the Twink/Peregrin Took school of post-hippie, anti-prog science-fantasy Dylan blues, with lines like "When a spaceship coughs up cowboys and samurai/your coat is stolen by the cat with colored wings." So it's good—certainly promising.

Cobra Lillies are a free-for-all freak folk band made up of several Eastside bands. The band began as a side project for The Monolators, and every time I see them they have new members and routines, which have included stomp dancing, cheerleaders, and tonight a flamboyant fashion show sketch to open the show. There were bicycle bells ringing throughout the night and all sorts of weird, down-homey folksy instruments.
by hieronymus bosch Hope everyone had a good weekend. I was outside drinking in a freakin' hurricane at the Red Bull Soap Box Race on Saturday. I've never been out in a downpour for that long. My brain still feels soggy. Anywho, here are 5 great jams to kick off your week. Artist: Pattern is Movement [...]
