Earlier this month, we lost Beastie Boy Adam Yauch , and credit the government of his home state for knowing that they should probably do something to honor the man's legacy. A wonderful tribute to Adam "MCA" Yauch by James Winters: kids re-enacting Beastie Boys' "Sabotage"!

Since Adam Yauch 's death on May 4 , tributes to both MCA and the Beastie Boys have rolled in , but this may be our favorite.  James Winters , a Portland-based filmmaker, created a reenactment of the Boys'  Spike Jonze -directed  "Sabotage" video , enlisting the help of his wife, kids and nephew in order to pay tribute to MCA. The recent death of Adam "MCA" Yauch is something that hit most of us pretty hard here at Flavorpill, so we were happy to come across this wonderful tribute that Portland-based filmmaker James Winters shot with a group of kids over the weekend. While there's certainly no touching the original, we're fairly sure that Yauch would have approved of this remake of the "Sabotage" video, because really, what's not to love about a bunch of adorable children in ridiculous wigs and aviators? Does Doc Zeus not bleed? I admire Adam Yauch. As a diehard hip hop fan and a child of the 1990s, that might seem exceedingly obvious to say. But beyond the superficial of simply “liking” his music, Adam Yauch was an extraordinary human being.
