Adam Yauch , a member and co-founder of the Beastie Boys , has died at the age of 47. Yauch, known in the group as MCA, was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and had been in treatment the last few years. He was optimistic about his prognosis, but stayed out of the spotlight upon the release of the band's Hot Sauce Committee, Part Two , and did not attend the group's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame last month.
