Last night, buzz-band Alabama Shakes made their network TV debut with an outstanding performance of "Hold On" on the Late Show with David Letterman . Check out the performance below.

Each time the Alabama Shakes come back to New York City, there's more of a spotlight put on the worth the buzz band. This time around the group is in town for a pair of shows at Bowery Presents venues as well as an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and a MTV Hive webcast. Last night, late night TV was chock full of big name talent making their way to Coachella. Arctic Monkeys appeared on Conan , where they performed their new single, "R U Mine?". On Jimmy Kimmel Live! , The Shins showcased "Simple Song" and "The Rifle's Spiral" from their recently released LP, Port of Morrow . (They also took some time to film a Coachella survival guide.)
