When I saw the lineup for the brand new  Bottle Rock Napa Valley  festival, my jaw dropped. The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, The Shins, Flaming Lips, Alabama Shakes, Andrew Bird, Edward Sharpe, Dirty Projectors, Iron and Wine, Mavis Staples, Sharon Van Etten, Best Coast... the list went on and on . As Hidden Track points out , Napa Valley, California will soon play host to its very own three-day music festival. The inaugural Bottle Rock Music & Arts Festival is set for May 10th-12th and boasts a preliminary lineup of The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Cake, Ben Harper, Mavis Staples, and Rodrigo y Gabriella. The final lineup will be announced in February and promises over 40 of "today's greatest bands." I saw a lot of great shows in 2012, from all the great shows in NYC during CMJ, from my trip to Bonnaroo, and my duel visits to Chicago for Lollapalooza/Pitchfork.
