HT faves Alabama Shakes have just added a slew of North American headlining dates to their tour schedule. Their summer jaunt will begin on June 18 at LC Pavilion Outdoors in Columbus, Ohio and includes a two-night stand at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on July 17 and 18. Don't look now, but Mumford and Sons just announced the 2013 series of their Gentlemen of the Road" Stopovers. If you recall, the band launched these mini music festivals across the U.S. last year with lineups featuring St. Vincent, Dawes, Gogol Bordello, and more. This summer, Mumford and Sons will stage Stopovers in Lewes, UK; Simcoe, Ontario; Troy, Oho; Guthrie, Oklahoma; and St. Augustine, Florida. Alabama Shakes have added a whole host of dates to their forthcoming world tour, on the back of a very stellar performance on Jools Holland last night. Alabama Shakes will extend their U.S. tour with a headline run that kicks off July 29 at the Paper Mill in Syracuse, NY and includes a show at Los Angeles’ Music Box on August 14. Last month we mentioned that after sitting on a shelf for well over a year, Epic Records was finally going to release Fiona Apple's first album of new material since 20052s Extraordinary Machine .
