Arguably the most unique venue in NYC, Governors Beach Club season is opening Sunday May 26th. Featuring some of the biggest acts last summer; Made Event , the brains behind Electric Zoo and most recently bringing ASOT600 to NY, are starting off the summer with a massive headliner: Hardwell . Coming hot off his record-setting Ultra performance, Hardwell is coming to Governors Island with a stacked line up including label-mate Dyro, Anjunabeats up-and-comer Audien, Henrix and the NYC hometown DJ Alex English. For those lucky enough to have snagged tickets already (meaning this event is sold out—sorry if this post was a tease), [...]

It’s no mean feat to be one of the best parties on Fridays in Manhattan week in and week out, but Alex English and the GBH crew make it look easy. On April 5th, Webster Hall played host to the incredibly talented musician Griz as part of a tour supporting his album Mad Liberation . Click that link. Seriously. The whole thing is free, and it’s incredible. If you want the background on the young homie check out our preview here . This [...]

Our pal Nicky Digital just took off to SXSW yesterday and before he bounced he rounded up some photos for us. Day after day and week after week (we’re not really sure when the man sleeps), Digital is out and about capturing New York City merrymaking. Here’s a slice of the fun last week. Stay tuned next week for some Austin fun... "Matty Glitterati's DJ dance." "Leo Gugu's flower crown." [...]

In a trend that none of us are mad about, some artists are taking over Webster Hall for the weekend . A few weeks ago Tiesto Dillon Francis graced the stage for Saturday and Sunday and this past weekend Feed Me with TEETH ate up the crowd and spit ‘em back out smiling. As Feed Me, Gooch creates music that isn’t limited to any one sub-genre of EDM but is an amorphous sort of sound that drifts from hard electro, to dubstep, mixed with seemingly random bits of alternative rock or [...]

Jon Gooch is the man behind Feed Me and he is more talented than you are. It’s okay, don’t be upset. He’s more talented than most of us mere mortals. Aside from making his own brand of amazing boundaryless music, Gooch draws and designs the Feed Me character (a little green goblin with a shit-eating grin) as well as designed his incredible light show known as ‘Teeth’ . Feed Me and the man behind it are about making music a journey and the ‘Teeth’ become a part of that journey truly allowing the DJ (who will also [...]
