This year I delved through nearly every album I listened to in 2011 to pick out my personal cream of the crop. This is probably my most comprehensive list of "best of" songs I've done for BWC thus far...Hope you guys enjoy. The top albums of the year should follow shortly! If there are any mislabeled, mis-tagged links, let me know and I'll get it fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if I muddled through a few misclicks or something trying to copy and paste everything over Tim Kasher // [...]

Charleston, SC indie rockers All Get Out will release their long awaited debut album The Season on September 20, 2011 via Favorite Gentlemen Recordings, the label/artist community founded by members of Manchester Orchestra and home to artists like Kevin Devine and O'Brother. The band's first single "Lucky Bastard" can be streamed below here on BandWeblogs.com . Stream track - All Get Out "Lucky Bastard": All [...]

It hardly surprises me that South Carolina's All Get Out has found a home with Atlanta-based Favorite Gentlemen Recordings . The band appears to be a strong disciple of the same Southern pop rock that the label's powerhouse, Manchester Orchestra, has been championing since their breakout debut, I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child . Frontman Nathan Hussey's voice is undeniably reminiscent of Andy Hull's too. But you can tell after listening to their latest single, "Lucky Bastard," that there's something a bit different about All Get Out. Perhaps it's the peppy [...]

Excuse my blatant infatuation with every band on the Favorite Gentlemen roster. It might seem a bit excessive, but it's hard to deny the insane amount of talent that the lineup of bands on that label holds...and yes, here's another. All Get Out have been around for a while now, but it's just now that the band have cemented plans for their debut full-length. The Season drops September 20th via Favorite Gentlemen and the band have made "Lucky Bastard" available below. I've been in the mood [...]

Illustration by Mike Oh my, what a week we've had so far, eh? Honestly, I didn't know if I'd be able to keep MIXTAPES WEEK going all week! So many hyperlinks... so little time! But alas, here we are, Friday, and we've got yet another amazing mixtape to share with you. Also, waiting in the wings for my Crane Buddy to receive her Crane's Day gift is the mixtape I made for her! It's a doozy that I plan on sharing with you ASAP, but she [...]

I know- third week in a row that I've slacked on the blog. It's summer, and I've gotten pretty busy lately. Plus, I'm just not hearing a lot that I really like. Argh. I promise to try to think about being a better blogger this week. Tracklisting: All Get Out - Water And God Annuals - The Giving Tree Ben Sollee - How To [...]
"I do everything the hard way." Loud as All Get Out , as they like to say. The young group from Charleston, SC, rather than cruising on the coattails of label owner Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra, who himself is currently making the transition from indie-fame to mainstream, are instead riding the waves they've created for themselves. With two popular EPs under their belt and, if I remember hearing correctly, a debut full length in the works and on the way, [...]

"Water and God" - All Get Out Four strong beats on the drum and bang, not two seconds in and we're delivered right to this song's big hook, first heard as a synthesizer melody played against a loud, bashy background. When the verse starts, the song retreats--lower volume, itchier vibe--to build the tension that rises as we await the inevitable, triumphant return of the Hook. But wait: more tension first, because when said Hook returns, we initially hear it as a quiet vocal melody against one staccato guitar line. This then adds to [...]

These are the records I, who just so happens to be a person I respect quite highly for his great taste in all art, felt were the top 10 records of this year. The records were determined through a scientific process that involved a mouse in a maze being chased by a ferret, throwing watermelons off a bridge, and of course seeing which records were played the most via my iPod. The last point played a bigger role that the other two. Close but not quite in the ten: All Get Out [...]

I was lucky enough to catch up with Chris Freeman , keyboard player and part time vocalist of the Atlanta, Georgia based Manchester Orchestra . Manchester Orchestra is currently touring the US with Kevin Devine , Dead Confederate and All Get Out . Joshua Hammond, Popwreckoning: I'm told that you guys created an album called Nobody Sings Anymore which was never released due to an extreme shift in the band's sound. What differed in that sound that the current [...]
The Spitting EP by All Get Out ( myspace ) is about as infectious as you can make pop/rock music. This is not stuff that you have to think about or wait to get. This is shower singing music, steering wheel drum music, maybe even air guitar music. This is how it will go down. The vocal melodies will get you hooked and the playful guitars make it interesting enough to give it another listen. Then you need it. Mark my words: These guys will become a Major Label hit factory withing 2 years [...]
