Even if you don't like LCD Soundsystem - we'll deal with that problem later - you have to admit that "All My Friends" is a pretty incredible song (and amazing soundtrack to the trailer for Shut Up and Play the Hits ). So naturally a cover of the track from Kodaline , who were recently listed on the BBC's Sound of 2013 , is well worth a listen. What's in a genre? Technically speaking, quite a lot of a music I guess. But ultimately genre's seem to be increasingly artificial labels that often fail to do justice to the scope of a band's sound. Oscar & The Wolf 's second EP Summer Skin (Out now, PIAS) was recorded in an abandoned church in Belgium over a four-week period, a desolate atmosphere that imbues the Brussels-based band's intelligent art/pop with a special spacious and dreamy feel.
