Both bands picked up a gong at the Ivor Novello Awards last night. The Maccabees picked up the award for the Best Contemporary Song for "Pelican" and Alt-J won the award for the Best Album, just months after winning the Mercury Prize award for the same album. Well done to both bands!

Germany's Hurricane and Southside Music Festivals have revealed their 2013 lineup. Similar to the UK's Reading and Leeds, the two events take place simultaneously on the same weekend (June 22nd-24th), with acts alternating between the venues at Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck. In past years we've seen PJ Harvey, The xx and Arctic Monkeys take the honour and the 20000 cheque home but this time it'll be be between the list below.
