![[Throwback] Wild Nothing- Summer Holiday](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4334456_lg.jpg)
"It's 82 Degrees and my tops peeled off" - Though its from another genre and another year, Kendrick Lamar's quote encapsulates the feeling of summer. The beautiful weather in the bay this weekend was reminding me of some summer favorites so I thought I would share one that has been getting some heavy play. Wild Nothing, the one man project of Jack Tatum, released "Summer Holiday" in 2009. The track is a perfect downbeat dream pop soundscape, ideal for summer listening. Check out their live performance below!

We've been following Tor ever since he put out the amazing "Illinoize" and finally after a long period of no releases he gives us "Glass & Stone". It's a track I believe can be labeled as triphop that uses a hiphop base and features some really cool ambient vibes over the top. "Glass & Stone" is set to be the first song off of his upcoming album Drum Therapy, due out April 24th. Check the latest from Tor above...

Melbourne’s Jack Vanzet is Thrupence. It's rare when I come across an album that I enjoy from front to back, so that means Thrupence is something special. It's such a great album to kick back and relax to especially with midterms/finals coming up for many of you. Thrupence-Synchronous Bloom Voyages EP (9 track) SoundCloud
"Unlimited Gravity (Ronnie Weberg) is a multi-talented life-long musician originating from the heart of the contemporary electronic music scene, Denver, Colorado. The Unlimited Gravity sound is best described as an ingenious alchemical hybrid, combining the chaotic energy of crunchy crunk beats with the calculated precision and intensity of a classically trained composer. Setting himself apart from the masses, Ronnie has the unique ability to masterfully create the most marvelous dichotomy of sound within each track. Two dynamically oppositional forces are pitted against each other in a musical battle royale; the result is always a titanic struggle of epic proportions from [...]

I can't think of a single reason Paper Diamond isn't a household name. Their music has diversity and is great in every genre. Check out their latest three tracks here! Same Old Song (Paper Diamond Remix) Paper Diamond - Electric Smile Paper Diamond - Better Things

As the title implies, this song has the listener soaring through the jetstream, being mentally massaged by the soothing melody. The drops are strong and keep a cohesive feel throughout the song, which makes this great for studying and kicking back in general. Minnesota - Jetstream

It took quite a while for M83 to get to where they are now, and as I was going through one of my old hard drives full of music I came across one of my favorite M83 songs I acquired back in 2006. This track originally came out in 2003, it reminds me of the 802s every single time I listen to it. It has such a Dreamy vibe it's quite unique to listen to. M83-America

Montreal based musician and producer Miracle Fortress (Graham Van Pelt) has been making poppy electronic tunes since 2005. However, just this past year, Miracle Fortress released their long awaited sophomore album Was I The Wave? The album was created in complete isolation like Graham's first, Five Roses , and reflects that in its intricate melodies that demonstrate themes of alienation, anonymity, and the desire for the assurances of intimacy. The tracks from Five Roses have an ethereal feel tinged with a childlike sadness. Was I The Wave? as a whole, seems to have [...]

Download album HERE If you're a fan of The Weeknd, you'll probably recognize the album title, as it's a song name from Thursday. Anyways, The Weeknd sampled the song " Cherry-Coloured Funk ", and I thought I should give the original song a listen. Turns out I loved the whole album. Like all great journeys, this one too must come to an end. And by Sunday evening, as promised, no less! Just by virtue of how I ended up organizing this playlist, this part ended up being very, shall we say, "classic rock" heavy, so if that's not your thing, this probably won't be your favorite part of the playlist (in which case see links at the bottom for parts 1-3!), but I wouldn't steer you wrong, these are definitely choice cuts! Neon Indian: Deadbeat Summer ( Psychic Chasms ) [...]
